Like the title says, Yoshi’s going from Mario’s dinosaur ride to a member of the Pokemon family. Well, he might not actually be a Pokemon, but he can sure wear their colors.
Has anyone ever noticed how similar Yoshi and Cranidos look? That’s where this texture’s inspiration came from. Anyways, I do want to improve it a little, but it’s not on the top of my list. It did turn out better than I thought, though. You can get it here.
Next up is Treecko. I thought the Wood Gecko Pokemon’s colors and design also looked slightly similar to Yoshi. So, here it is. Like Cranidos, however, it’s not completely finished. There’s a slight problem with the color on his belly. In the left image, you can see that there is a strange shape on his belly. I’m gonna look into this, but I’m not sure what’s causing it. If someone coulld take a look at the arc for me and see what’s causing this, I’d appreciate it. You can find Treecko here.
This isn’t really something big, but here’s version 2 of Mario’s PKMN Trainer texture. The only difference is the mustache. For this version, I recolored the mustache to the same skin color as his face, so it appears to gone. You can get this one here.
For this texture, Yoshi goes from disguising as a Pokemon, to taking the colors of Chaos 0. Chaos, for those who don’t know, appeared in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure DX, both of which he was the main antagonist. As he consumed Chaos Emeralds, he grew more and more powerful. This texture uses the texture from his Sonic Adventure 2 Battle texture, which happens to be Chaos’s base form. You’ll find this texture here.
Now, I have some news. Starting Monday, I will not have as much free time as I have lately, since that’s the day I go back to school. Don’t worry, though, as I’ll have enough time to continue making textures. Also, I’ve been hunting around lately for more ideas, and I think I’ve got a few good ones.
i like what you did with their eyes, that Treecko looks really good! i cant see the graphics bug, it looks perfect as is :p
And wow you're starting school as soon as August comes in? o.O That sucks, that is way too early lol. at least those bragging rights for getting out before everyone else will come eventually… good luck in there
You could do that big fish that jumps out of the water ( can't remember what it is called but you rescue toad from him in world 4) as sharpedo, those pruple crows as murcrow, the jellyfish that have a light underneath them as tenticool and pirahnah plants as cradily! :D Yeah I posted this on the i'm stumped article but there were quite a lot of comments so I put them on here too! :D ;)
