Texture Map Guides

Check out these texture map guides. Click to view enlarged version. To use the templates, import them into your graphic manipulation program and draw over the lines. If anyone using Flash wants my FLA files, let me know.

Mario

The best point of reference is perhaps Brawl Wario. His texture shows how to make fingerless gloves, belt placement, how to create jackets etc.

Need a template to trace over? Try this out. Some programs let you ‘trace bitmap’, which will work as well as tracing over the image by hand. Use this as a guide layer, or in a vector graphics program that lets you fill sections then remove lines.

I'm attempting to make wristbands for Luigi instead of gloves. I changed the part where the gloves meet the arm to black and made the gloves skin colored. Then I selected just a strip at the bottom of the glove graphic and made it black with some gray in the middle. This did look the way I expected other than one problem, the wristbands aren't wrapping all the way around. The outside (easily visible side) of his arm has wristbands and then fingers instead of gloves, but the inside part is still skin colored. Do you know which exact part covers that portion? I'm guessing it is somewhere in the middle of the glove graphic. I know the top ends up on the thumb area. I'll keep messing with it.

Hi, I'm trying to create a new texture for Yoshi but I get the following error with SZS Modifier, it says: "Compilation error. Index was outside the bounds of the array".
    Any idea about this?
    Thanks.
