
Even 25 years later though, that game is one of the best platformers ever made, with its simplicity, speed run opportunities, hidden secrets and incredibly responsive controls. But what’s better than NES Super Mario Bros? How about the same game, but with extra characters?
Jay Pavlina of ExplodingRabbit released some time ago Super Mario Crossover. It’s basically the original Super Mario Bros. that you played as a kid (or, still play as a kid) but with a host of extra characters from the NES console. It’s also got loads of other cool features, like 3-tier powerups for every character and cheats (although I haven’t unlocked them yet!).
