Skawo, from RVLution.net, has announced (like a month ago) a new game mod for NSMBw called “Another Super Mario Bros. Wii”. For those not aware of Skawo, he’s one of the guys behind “Newer“, a huge collaborative project that’s been in the works for a while now. He says “Another” is “[S]maller than Newer: Don’t expect Custom World Maps or your Wii flying. However, all levels are changed (along with coin battle, ambushes and other brouhaha), some tilesets and background have been made, and also a few small ASM hacks“. If you’re using any Mario-Mods patch packs (June/July Pack), note that you’ll need to either use the XML provided in the download on it’s own, or add everything from it to your current XML. Dropping the files into ‘custom patch’ folders won’t work.

On a site-related note, thanks Pikazapper for re-invigorating the site and adding something new for Christmas! I know all of us here at Mario-Mods have been busy, so it’s good to see some new stuff :).
I’m planning a new pack release for the end of December, compiling everything on Mario-Mods.com. The last one was in July, and we’ve had a lot of updates since. All that needs finishing is a bit of boring cut-and-paste stuff and a few finishing touches on some mods (e.g., skins for both Toads in the Halloween mod, all Yoshi skins for all four Yoshis, etc.). The XML will support “Another”.
