
Hello everyone, and welcome to my first blog post here. My full username is Mario & Sonic Guy, but I also go by M&SG or MnSG.
I’ve been texture hacking for nearly 2 years now. First was with Super Smash Bros. Brawl, followed by Super Smash Bros. Melee. I then went to doing hacks for Mario Kart Wii. For New Super Mario Bros. Wii, the hacks started out with custom levels, but have advanced to texture hacking as well.
Anyway, here’s a list of the various hacks that I’ve done for Mario Kart Wii and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. For my Melee and Brawl hacks, head to my Custom Textures thread at Kitty Corp..
One of my first textures for this game. Blue replaces red, while yellow replaces green, just like in Super Mario World. The Chain Link Koopas are also recolored.
The original four Yoshis are back. They’ll appear in the order of green, red, blue, and yellow, which is also the chronological order if you enter Star Road from the Donut Secret House in Super Mario World.
Recolored Larry here. Not much else to say.
Recolored the Buzzy Beetle so that its shell color matched that of the Spike Top. Note that this texture also affects the Giant Buzzy Beetle.
Recolored Dry Bones to resemble Dark Bones. Also affects the Giant Dry Bones.
Also known as Dark Bowser, I recolored Bowser to resemble the boss from Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story.
The son of Shadow Bowser (Dark Bowser) has popped up himself. Apparently the Dark Star affected Bowser Jr. during its reign of terror. Comes included with some recolored Koopa Clown Cars.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii was lacking some nighttime related backgrounds, so I decided to make up this background set. It comes included with an XML document designed to temporarily create these files onto the ISO.
Mario Kart Wii
My first Mario Kart Wii texture. Recolored Yoshi to be red, and I also modified the vehicles to match his color scheme.
I often wondered what Rosalina would look like if she had a Fire Flower. As a result, I came up with this texture hack.
With Koopa Paratroopa absent, I ended up doing this recolor for Koopa Troopa.
Flying Mario gets to join the Mario Kart GP. Even his vehicles got recolored to match his outfit.
Just like with Flying Mario, Flying Luigi also decided to join the race.
Wario got a Red Star, and he’s become a flying fatso. He also decided to do some racing along the way.
Waluigi also got his hands on a Red Star. Now he’s a threat on the ground, and in the air in a race.
Dark Bones wanted to race, and it got its wish.
Birdos aren’t just magenta anteater-like creatures. Other colorations exist as well, such as this red one.
Shadow Bowser Jr. proves to be quite destructive, even in a race. Watch out for him when he’s riding the wheel. Will his papa enter the fray as well?

what i have to do with the mr_award.brres and the mr_driver.brres
You import the first file into Award.szs, and the latter into Driver.szs.

i cant find the demo folder
It's in the root of the Mario Kart Wii ISO.
What if I want to do this with Riivolution? Do I just put everything into the My Stuff folder?
