This is just a re-texture of the hack (I’ll be calling v1) that was submitted to Mario Mods some time ago. It wasn’t by me, though. As you may have noticed, I’ve changed the Fire, Ice, and Penguin suits. I made a small error on the Penguin nose, since it’s supposed to be black and not pink. That’ll be changed in v3, which I MAY make. I may also fix the Fire suit to match the blue fur around the eyes somehow. From v1 I also changed the expression of the eyes, which can be seen in the bottom photo. Not too noticeable in-game, but still okay.

Well, I got hold of another remix of the Castle BGM from New Super Mario Bros., and decided to put it into New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Like with before, the download link below will contain two .brstm files, which will replace the castle BGM files.
The .brstm that’s titled BGM_SIRO.32.brstm is the normal speed version, while the .brstm that’s titled BGM_SIRO_fast.32.brstm plays at a 1.25x faster speed; fitting for the last 100 seconds on the timer.
Now, just like with before, you will have to patch the file, wii_mj2d_sound.brsar, so that it’ll properly loop those .brstm files. All the instructions and directory locations can be found in my last BGM change post…

It has been quite a long time since the last time I did any hacks for New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Anyway, I have recently taken the luxury of replacing some of the .brstm files from the game.
Simply put, I changed the BGM for the castle levels with a remixed version of the castle BGM, from New Super Mario Bros.. The music was originally made for Fortune Street. Now, while I’m not able to show an in-game preview of the BGM changes, I can at least show you a preview of the BGM that I used.

Hi everyone, it’s me Mario64. I know some of you want to recolor a world, so in this post I will tell you just how to do that!
What you’ll need:

Step 1: Extract WorldMap.zip to a folder called WorldMap. We’ll be coloring World 1.
Step 2: Find CS_W1.arc and open it with SZS Modifier.
Step 3: Open model.brres and the textures folder. You should see a picture called W1Grass. Click it and double click the image preview. Export the picture.
Step 4: Edit whatever color you want it to be with your favorite Paint editor. Click on W1Grass again. Double click the image preview and import the picture. Click Save. Go to File, Save.
Step 5: You can also edit WS_W1.arc which is the mini model when you press minus.
Step 6: Add this line to your xml: <folder external=”/(whatever folder you want this to be in)/WorldMap” /> If your folder was nsmb, make a folder called WorldMap, and add this line to your Xml: <folder external=”/nsmb/WorldMap” /> Last, test it out!
